Possibly during the bonfire night specials - a night scene at Bolton Abbey
station, now capable of being illuminated by oil lamps, with a train ready to
depart for Embsay.

The visiting J27 (or NER P3) took part in a photo
charter with the hopper wagons and the shark. The charter is seen here from the

No. 70, an ex-Manchester Ship Canal loco, visited
the railway and for the Wartime Weekend was
pictured coming out of Hambleton Cutting with a Mk. 1 and the
vintage train.

Another very popular visitor was the Lambton tank,
No. 29, from the NYMR. Seen here descending towards Bolton Abbey with a train
comprising 4 Mk. 1's and the Gresley
Restaurant Car.

Seen again, the following year, No. 29 passes through Hambleton Cutting with a
7 coach special. Plenty of sunlight and shadow.

Also visiting in 2001 was the centenarian, the Pug from the L&Y Society.
Here it prepares to shunt from platform 1 at Embsay during the delayed
Vintage Weekend.

The Class 107 DMU seen from the footpath near Draughton as it prepares to enter

views of the lineside scenery.
